텍스트에 관심이 많다. 비단 책뿐만이 아니라 전광판, 광고 하단 작은 글씨, 전단지에 적힌 텍스트까지 모두 영감의 재료들이다. 그러나 SNS 세상에서 긴 글은 천덕꾸러기다. 포스팅할 수 있는 글자수 길이가 제한되어 있거나, 텍스트보다 이미지 정보가 인기있는 세상이다. 책을 읽는 사람도, 책을 사는 사람도 줄어들고 있고 이는 매 통계마다 확인된다. ChatGPT 등장으로 이젠 긴 글도 아주 편리하게 핵심만 요약해서 읽을 수 있는 세상이 되었다. 내가 생산한 텍스트, 내가 사랑하는 텍스트가 세줄 요약 앞에 갈 곳을 잃고 있다. 그렇다고 가만히 있을 순 없다. 뭐라도 해야한다.
I am interested in text. Not only books, but also signs, small print at the bottom of advertisements, and text on flyers are all sources of inspiration. However, in the world of social media, long texts are considered taboo. The length of text that can be posted is limited, and the world prefers image information over text. The number of people reading and buying books is decreasing, and this is confirmed by statistics. With the emergence of ChatGPT, it has become a world where even long texts can be conveniently summarized to the essentials. My produced text, the text I love, is losing its place in front of a three-line summary. However, I can't just sit still. I have to do something.
